Corpse Water — pure, oppressive old-school death metal

Corpse Water emerge from the depths with a new slab of uncompromising old-school death metal, released under the banner of Grindscene Records. Rooted firmly in the classic tradition—crushing riffs, cavernous atmosphere, and an unrelenting sense of dread—the band deliver a record that rejects modern polish in favor of pure, oppressive weight. With two official videos set to drop by the March 31 impact date, Corpse Water stand poised to reinforce their place among death metal’s most steadfast and unyielding voices.

Inspired by the earlier material of old school death metal bands such as early Six Feet Under, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Cancer, the focus is on hooks, choruses, and songs that are meant to be enjoyed rather than analyzed.

A one-person studio project, with Pete handling all writing and vocals, working with studio musicians to bring the songs to life — no concern for speed, extremity, or technical display, just honest, raw, rotten, real death metal made for the same reasons it was listened to in the first place.
