My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hold ye phone! No-one likes a Tudor bodice ripper more than me, and this one knocked my socks off. The story of Katherine Parr, the final wife of Henry VIII, it seethes with intrigue, murder and mayhem. The characters leap off the page as plots weave and spin until your head is in a tizz. Despite it’s girth. I couldn’t leave it at home, so lugged it around on the bus for a couple of days, so keen was I to follow it through to the end. My favourite book of the year, so far.
