Stan the Man: A Hard Life in Football by Stan Ternant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A proper nutter, innit? Stan The Man takes us through the ever increasingly sordid world of professional football, and harks back to the days when men were men, and sticking the heid on someone was a valid way of expressing an opinion. Two points off for whinging about how badly paid he was, when he was earning ten times as much as someone doing a real job, but a point back on for his utter, utter loathing of Neil Warnock. It is entertainingly written and serves as a historical memoir of a time long gone.
