The mysterious Charles Vaughan follows up his previous reveries.
In previous releases, Vaughan has conjured a world of semi-rural mystery, of pylons and substations humming next to Bronze Age bowl barrows and medieval tracks – new builds on strange earth.
A Ritual for Poisoned Land ploughs similarly liminal acres, but feels more expansive, thanks to a broader sonic toolkit, and a tendency towards subtle heaviness and echoing dub undercurrents. Powerful stuff.
Wayside & Woodland Recordings is home to epic45, Birds in the Brickwork, The Toy Library, My Autumn Empire, Charles Vaughan and The Balloonist.
You can order it on the their internet web site, in advance of its release, and it will be delivered to you, following its release.
