Blue Matter new releases from the black watch and Green Ray + Bevis Frond tour

The new releases are;

‘Varied Superstitions’ by the black watch (lower case intentional) is full of intoxicating sounds, which makes them think of The Cure on acid. Legendary US indie psychsters still at it, and still great at it.

[full disclosure; I distributed the black watch records in the UK a couple of decades ago].

The Green Ray began some 30 years ago, formed from the ashes of Walthamstow legends Help Yourself, featuring Ken Whaley on bass, Richard Treece on guitar, Si Burgin on guitar and Simon Whaley on drums. After the untimely passing of several members, the band has continued under the guidance of Simon Whaley (who has now switched to guitar and vocals) and fellow guitarist and singer, Martin Gee, and they are now sounding stronger than ever.

Meanwhile Blue Matter co-main chap, Mr Bevis Frond will be doing a fortnights tour in Europe during April, and another fortnight in the UK at the start of June. Plus playing in Brighton on Sunday March 22nd.

There will, doubtless, be information on the internet information superhighway.
