Organology trio is a musical spectacle brought to life by three generations of Jazz masters of the highest level.
Gilad Atzmon – Alto Saxophone
Ross Stanley – Hammond Organ
Joel Barford – Drums
The sax/organ trio is amongst the most powerful jazz outfits. It’s a natural home for soul, groove and virtuosity – it is basically a Miniature Powerhouse. The genius of this musical line-up lies in its efficiency and textural completeness. Despite having only three musicians, it can deliver the fullest and richest sonic, rhythmic and melodic spectrum.
This is exactly what you hear in Organology.
Ross Stanley is without a doubt the most in demand Jazz artist in Britain, he has played with pretty much everyone in the kingdom and on the other side of the pond.
Gilad Atzmon has been considered one of the best woodwind players in the world. He is the founder of the Orient House Ensemble but is also known for his work with Ian Dury & the Blockheads. Gilad is the last saxophonist to record with The Pink Floyds.
Joel Barford, the youngest member in the trio, has been making a name for himself and is in highest demand. He is considered by many to be the future of British Jazz.
