Psychedelic collective, Elf Freedom, to release “Solstice” on Vinyl 

The album will be out Oct 10th on Twisted Flowers, a boutique, psychedelic label based in Athens, Greece, and will be shipping worldwide. Here’s all the info: 

We are excited to share news of a special new chapter in the journey of Solstice, the breakout album for our Los Angeles based psychedelic collective. Originally released digitally and on tape in October 2024, the album drew wide critical acclaim – earning Bandcamp’s, New and Notable honors and helping build our momentum. Our follow up, Visions of Utopia (March 2025) , was recently reviewed in The Wire, who praised its whimsical, immersive sound. Together these two records have helped establish Elf Freedom as one of LA’s most Authentic Voices in Modern Psych. Now Solstice is getting a fresh life on vinyl – it’s first ever physical release in this format. Out via Twisted Flowers, the LP features newly mixed and mastered versions of the original tracks, expanding the record’s atmosphere, to even deeper, more immersive territory. 

Musically, Solstice draws on the deep well of exploratory, psych and cosmic rock. The sound is reminiscent of Guru Guru’s UFO, Ash Ra Temple, and the Theatrical experimental edges of American psych like Joe Bird’s, The American Metaphysical Circus. Its music meant to open portals – layered, free flowing, and transport.
