Louise Connell’s new album, Clients Of Suddenness, will be released on May 9th on the wonderful Last Night From Glasgow label.
Undoubtedly this is Louise’s strongest set of songs to date, and the standard of the writing has been perfectly matched by the performances of some truly world-class musicians on this record: Mark Brzezicki (Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Big Country etc) on drums, Lewis Gordon (Deacon Blue, Codeine Velvet Club) on bass, Phil Kane (The Silencers, The McCluskey Brothers) on piano, Ali Petrie (The Albert Lee Band) also on piano – as well as a guest appearance on vocals from the brilliant Grahame Skinner of Hipsway.
Pre-orders for the album have been very healthy so far – to the point that seemingly with a little push over the next few weeks the album may well chart – which would be a very well-deserved first for this wonderful artist.
