A long time coming…
2017 really was a big one for Cherry in terms of travelling and singing her way around the world. She visited no less than 25 countries singing on her jazz tour as well as venturing into theatre shows too in between writing new music which will be released this Spring!
Says Cherry, “I realise new music is a long time coming, it’s almost four years since Catch My Drift came out which I can’t believe! However i’ve been travelling the world – something i’ve always wanted to do and the opportunity was there so I grabbed it! Plus i’ve had some exciting and crazy experiences since the last album so more fodder for material. I’m excited to see what happens in 2018, I want to wish you all a very happy new year and thanks as always for your support.”
Cherry has been, and will be performing on selected dates with the Johnny Cash Roadshow, performing at theatres all over the UK as one of the Carter Sisters.
Says Cherry, “I’m loving another new experience that’s come my way, performing in some more of the country’s beautiful theatres in a show that is the only Johnny Cash show endorsed by the Cash family.”
With Clive John as “The Man in Black,” the show features a full live band, brass section and Carter Sisters with narration and visuals, taking you on a musical journey through the incredible life of John R. Cash.
With Cherry recently with the JCR in Bury St Edmunds, Oxford, Brighton, Wimbledon and Glasgow, keep an eye on the gig page for more dates throughout 2018 with them.
As this is all going on, new shows are being confirmed for Cherry and her band all starting from April so keep your eyes peeled on the gig page for dates and as always the Facebook, Twitter,Instagram pages are updated every few days. Especially Instagram as live stories are posted sometimes snippets of Cherry’s studio sessions.
