Dizzy Reed releases his fabulous new album ‘Rock ‘N Roll Ain’t Easy’ on 16th February

Dizzy Reed releases his fabulous new album ‘Rock ‘N Roll Ain’t Easy‘ on 16th February via Golden Robot Records.

Singles ‘This Don’t Look Like Vegas’ and ‘I Celebrate’ have received critical acclaim across the board along with a huge amount of radio plays worldwide.

Due to popular demand globally,Guns N’ Roses keyboardist, Dizzy Reed, has also announced that the release of his 2018 debut solo album, Rock ‘n Roll Ain’t Easy, will now be made available on digital platforms worldwide via Golden Robot Records on Friday, 16 February, the same day as the scheduled physical and digital release in Australia, NZ and Japan.

Rock ‘n Roll Ain’t Easy is 12 tracks of rock (or 13 if you download the digital version which comes with a bonus track!) with Reed uniting with fellow members of Guns N’ Roses, along with some other greats, including players from W.A.S.P., Quiet Riot, Psychedelic Furs, Thin Lizzy, No Doubt, The Replacements, Queens of the Stone Age, and more.

The first single, This Don’t Look Like Vegas, was lifted from the album for release and has received rave reviews worldwide, prompting the decision to go global digitally with the solo record. The track was written by Dizzy Reed, Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy, The Almighty, Black Star Riders) and Del James, features Warwick and Mayuko Okai on guitar, with fellow Gunner, Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses, Psychedelic Furs, Thin Lizzy), bringing the guitar solo. Mike Dupke’s (W.A.S.P.) on drums, Mike Duda (W.A.S.P.) on bass, Reed on lead vocals, piano, shaker and tambourine, with backing vocals from Nadja Reed, Chela Johnson and Del James.
Critically acclaimed single second single ‘I Celebrate‘ has all the makings for a rock radio hit with penetrating vocals and a solid hook, that kicks off with banging drums and guitar riffs that take you on a full-on ride from start to finish.  The track features Mike Dupke (drums, cowbell), Mike Duda (bass), Richard Fortus (guitars), Mars Williams (saxophone) Dizzy Reed (lead vocals, backing vocals, clarinet, congas, tambourine, shaker), Nadja Reed and Del James (backing vocals).

While initially undercut by prominent keys, this Don’t Look Like Vegas quickly settles into a swaggering slice of classic rock, led by big riffs and Reed’s own touchstone lyrics of dark shades, flexibly applicable gambling metaphors, shotgun weddings, fire, fury, brimstone etc. It’s all scenes of beautifully filthy bar band blues, the stuff of Sunset Strip nights, endless whiskey shots and a hedonistic heaven where, as Reed eloquently puts it, ‘nothing is certain’
