Janet Devlin – 2016 and Beyond!

Most of 2016 has been spent delving further and further into the writing process for album number two which is currently entitled “Holy Water”. I’ve been filling my books up with new lyrics and stories that I look forward to sharing with you all. I’ve also been doing numerous co-writes in various studios for this record. It’s been intense but fun and has involved lots of travelling around the country. I’m really excited by how it’s been going! I’ll be keeping you updated on my progress… I may even leak some snippets onto t’Interweb so keep an ear out. 🙂

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who purchased my Christmas EP. I was overwhelmed by your support and I hope you enjoyed the music. Making ‘December Daze’ really changed my perception of the holiday season, I had a excellent Christmas and I think I can safely say I’m no longer a Grinch 🙂 Speaking of festive… I’ve even begun writing some more Christmas ditties on the ukulele. I find it’s a nice way for me to take a little break from all the serious songwriting and just have fun creating – so watch out for more JantaClaus action!

I filmed loads of content for my YouTube channel last year and I’m now back into the swing of creating more and more videos for you all. Every week I’ll be uploading a new video or two – so if you wish to keep up to date with all the new content then don’t forget to subscribe to my channel! It’s been really fun filming not only new covers for the channel, but other videos that will hopefully let you get to know me a little better. Do feel free to send me any challenges or requests as I’m always open to your ideas! To start us off, here is a little video I filmed of me and my bro last weekend when I was home in Ireland for Mothers day.

Finally, as it’s March that means one thing for the Irish… ST PADDIES DAY! I for one can never pass up a good old party around this time of year and hopefully you can’t either. I’ve decided to do two live StageIt shows on March 16th, one at 8pm and another at 11:55pm. So hopefully this will make it possible for all my friends in different time zones to tune in. I can’t guarantee that there won’t be some mad hats and green back drops… but that’s half the fun 😉 So grab a ticket and come down to get into the Irish spirit with me!
