Greg Pearson is a pop singer/songwriter from Edinburgh, Scotland.
His new single These Walls is out this autumn via Circular Records. A song about having a place of secrecy and trust you can share with people you love.
A unique blend of music and lyrics has garnered comparisons with numerous contemporary songwriters as well as some from as early as the 1940’s. Melding modern production methods with a vintage vocal, he goes toe-to-toe with the current major pop acts.
Pearson is the perfect refreshing change from music’s current acoustic guitar trend; all self-deprecating musings and weary angst. His music has an exciting youthful energy with its own growing wisdom.

Greg has been working and collaborating with a number of fellow musicians in Scotland, these include Lewis Gale (EMI signed, Make Model), Stevie Palmer (Greentrax Records), David Whitmey (Mika, The Wanted and The Saturdays) and many others of note.
Motivated by a passion and determination to write music imbued with emotion and experience, Greg quit his ‘nine-to-five’ job two years ago, leaving Edinburgh to hit the live motel circuit of backstreet America armed with just a guitar for company. Purposely taking himself far from his home comforts and the security of everyday life, whilst perfecting his songwriting.
On his return to Edinburgh, Greg began to gather positive feedback on his new style. At an industry event where his demo was played, Ex Universal Records and X Factor talent scout, Stephen Jones gave very positive feedback. Alex Knight, founder of FatCat Records (Frightened Rabbit, The Twilight Sad, Honeyblood) also said on hearing the demo, “once produced, this is going to be a fantastic single”.
Greg’s debut single, ‘These Walls’ will be released this autumn via Circular Records. According to Greg, “These Walls started out as an idea I had about having somewhere you can go with someone where you can be truthful and honest without having the rest of the world know about your business. I think in this day and age its easy for one person to have an opinion on something, whether it be society, politics, relationships or anything and in a split second, they upload it to their social media sites and everyone knows their and your business and opinions – it’s madness. These Walls is about having that place of secrecy and trust you can share with the person, or people you love”.
