Moxie Kicks – ‘Soul For You’ out September 22nd

The sound of super fresh new Brit band Moxie Kicks is creating an almighty buzz of excitement globally and garnering media interest within its wake.  Booting huge clout onto the music scene with their stunning debut single, ‘Soul For You’  (released on 22 September), the band also have their debut album ready for release later this year.  With Universal in charge of distribution, there’s no doubt that Moxie Kicks are whipping up interest across territories world-wide – with the US and Europe all signed on to license the debut album, described by the legendary producer Chris Potter as an ‘incredibly strong debut album – fantastic songs and great energy’

Formed in 2013, Moxie Kicks are Charlie Freeman and Jamie Brown.  The duo, from Notting Hill and Hillingdon respectively, met fortuitously through an online music ad and instantly realised that their chemistry was special.  Sharing a burning passion for indie guitar-let anthemic tunes, Moxie Kicks deliver a delicious slice of rich melodies, gorgeously laced with catchy hooks and harmonies, dripping with emotion and feeling.  With influences ranging the entire spectrum from The Stones, The Police, The Cure, The Foos, Turin Brakes, The Doves, Blur, The Wombats (who recently retweeted the Moxie Kicks cover of their huge hit ‘Moving to New York’) Counting Crows and Supergrass (to name a few), Moxie Kicks kick hard with a young fresh approach and the ability to deliver sensationally on a live platform.

Add to this the fact the debut album was recorded in a back garden studio(and produced by Jamie Brown[guitarist and co-writer]) and is being so highly praised, it’s a sure sign that this band are the real deal – serious talents to watch out for

‘Soul For You’ is the band’s introduction onto the scene.  A vibrant, upbeat, positive serving of melody that’ll have hands clapping and feet stomping within the first few bars.  Mixed by Chris Potter (Verve, U2, Stones, Blur, King Charles, Rifles) the track is notching up impressive chart positions with it’s remixes, with massive plays up and down the UK and soon to spread to the US and Europe.  The single’s official release will be in late September during which month the Moxie Kicks launch their residency at an amazing new live venue in the West End – where they’re set to become an integral part of ‘Catapult Live’, an offshoot of the independent label to which they are signed.  With a huge buzz and an excellent first record, these boys plan on being around for a long time to come!
