Cherry is four weeks into a ten week trip over in the USA where highlights so far have been performing with her Mississippi band along with UK band mate Nick Slater at Ground Zero Blues Club (owned by Morgan Freeman and Bill Luckett) where both owners came down especially to see them. Visiting Austin, Texas for the first time and being invited up on stage by Paul Oscher who was Muddy Waters’ harmonica player for 5 years, guesting with some musician friends in Memphis, being chosen to sing at the famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville on Songwriter night, being an extra in the TV hit show Nashville! Not bad for four weeks.

Cherry will be returning to Nashville next week which will involve publisher meetings and co-writing sessions. It’s best to keep up with Cherry’s adventures via her Facebook and Twitter pages as she is updating them everyday.

Cherry being an extra on set for the hit TV show Nashville, second pic featuring Connie Britton aka Rayna James! Episode is part of series 3, which starts in the UK this winter and Cherry plays one of Rayna’s crazed fans outside the Ernest Tubbs Record Store. Will be episode 3 or 4.
More exciting news is that the 100% Frankie Miller album is out next month. This is a collection of songs written by Frankie throughout the years which would never have been heard due to Frankie’s ill health but thanks to Spike from The Quireboys who knows Frankie and is a longtime fan, he decided these songs needed to be heard and so they’ve been recorded by a plethora of big names including Ronnie Wood, Ian Hunter, Bonnie Tyler and our Cherry who sings vocals on several tracks! You can read more info here and pre order a copy here.
Another release Cherry is on that was released last Monday, is Bernie Marsden’s new album, Shine. Cherry has been touring with Bernie the last couple of years which led to Bernie asking Cherry to sing lead on a track titled Bad Blood at none other than Abbey Road Studios. You can order right here and catch Bernie’s tour in October, dates are right here.
Cherry is back in the UK October 2 and has a list of tour dates so be sure to check those out here, especially if you need a Cherry fix after her ten week trip away!
Until then ya’ll!
