ZOLO
Canada’s hottest export releases dance anthem ‘Feel It’ on August 25
After pulling crowds to the dancefloor across the globe, DJ to the stars Zolo has set his sights on conquering the charts with summer anthem ‘Feel It’. Following on from a string of critically and commercially-acclaimed floorfillers, the social media sensation is sure to get clubbers in the party mood with his latest offering.
With guest vocals from stunning 19 year old model Jeri Alexandria ‘Feel It’ has already smashed into the Music Week Club chart at number 18 and is making waves in clubbers paradise Ibiza – where Zolo himself will be living it up this summer, drawing in the crowds with his dazzling mix of playful pop, electro and hip hop.
Things could have been different for UK-born Zolo, who was raised in New York but now lives in Toronto, as his sporting skills on the football field saw him scouted by the Canadian national side. Initially channeling his energy and emotions into the beautiful game, Zolo’s life took a different path following the tragic passing of his father, inspiring him to give up sport in favour of his biggest dream: a music career.
After filling dancefloors with samples from the likes of Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO, Zolo gave in to demand from his ever-growing fanbase – including Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire – to head into the recording studio. His first effort, electro-funk anthem ‘Club is Bumping’ stormed to number one on the MySpace download chart, amassing him 90,000 twitter followers in the process, and was quickly followed by critically-acclaimed tunes ‘Typical Girl’ and ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’, not to mention party album ‘Dance Tape’.
With his star on the rise, Zolo has been approached more and more to fill the dancefloors of those in the know, with Classified, T-Pain, Far East Movement and Ludacris being among the early converts to his pop party persuasion and inviting him to open their shows. With ‘Feel It’ guaranteed to cement his position alongside Calvin Harris and David Guetta as one of the greatest on the club scene, he can only go higher.
Feel It is released August 25.
