After their greatly anticipated performance on BBC2 Newsnight, the Bloom Twins unveil their music video, showcasing their new single “Blue,” which will be available on iTunes later this month. Watch the Bloom Twins video for “Blue” HERE.
“Blue” continues the Bloom Twins quest with their dreamy soundscapes and dash of darkness, alluring the viewer as the video challenges the spectator by providing just enough controversy to generate curiosity and excitement, complete with a power to subvert, to imagine and to deceive.
The storyline is based on a bittersweet memory of a dysfunctional relationship, the female protagonist (played by both Anna and Sonia Kuprienko) is remembering moments with a two-faced lover: On the one hand she recalls him as the mature, masculine, elegant, caring yet mysterious character (Aiden Shaw), on the other hand yearns for his wild, reckless, exciting and charming side (Billy Huxley).
Last year the Bloom Twins debuted upon our ears and eyes with their smoky soulful sound and compelling combo of pop familiarity and indie weirdness. In the dark, dreamy video for their cover of Kish Mauve’s “Fahrenheit”, Anna sings and plays the piano while Sonya jangles the tambourine with her feet. The video garnered national media attention in outlets such as Flaunt, Wild Magazine, Bullett and won a nod as “MTV Iggy Artist of the Week” by a landslide 78% competing against Hunters and others calling out, “The 17 year old twins have serious promise”.
 “Blue” is directed by artist collective consisting of Nikita Andrianova, Oz Thakkar and Ish Sahotay.
