Avery*Sunshine – singer, songwriter and pianist – who has one of the most dynamic voices – releases her hotly anticipated second album ‘The Sunroom’ out May 26thon Dome Records. Produced by her songwriting partner, guitarist Dana Johnson.
It has been three years since the release of Avery’s critically acclaimed debut album. And with the release of ‘The Sunroom’ – you can expect to hear – a mix of sublime ballads, grooves and up-tempo tracks – to express Avery*Sunshine’s thought provoking songwriting.
Alongside ballads like ‘Sweet Afternoon’ and ‘Call My Name’ – there are the Al Green-flavoured ‘Love (Won’t Try)’, the shimmering ‘Nothing To Something’, sassy soulful shuffler ‘I Do Love’ and the up-tempo stomper ‘Time To Shine’ – to name a few…
Avery recently owned her performance on Later…with Jools Holland – where she captivated guest Ringo Starr when interviewed on the show “Well, we can all use a little more Sunshine”. Two sold out shows at the Union Chapel were followed by a Royal Albert Hall date, opening for BB King – which garnered great reviews and a Radio 2 playlist on her single ‘I Got Sunshine’ .
Originally from Chester, Pennsylvania, but now based in the vibrant music city of Atlanta, Avery has shared stages in the US with the likes of Eric Benet, Ledisi and Rachelle Ferrell and has collaborated on record with Roy Ayers, Will Downing and Musiq Soulchild, among others.

June 20 – Islington Assembly Hall, London N1.
