The new album has been receiving great reviews across the board, with world music specialist magazine ‘Songlines’ giving it a whopping 5 stars, a cover story and a major feature.  I was really pleased to read really positive reviews in the likes of Maverick, the Independent, the Observer, fRoots and the Sunday Times.  Thanks to all those who really took time to listen to and absorb the album before reviewing it.

I feel totally re-energised by the whole new recording experience and am ready for the busy year ahead of shows both at home and abroad.  Check www.juliefowlis.com/tours/for our full listings but here is a run down of our Summer performances for you (with further dates to be announced also in the coming weeks):

**Tickets for ALL above shows are onsale now**

I also was fortunate enough to be invited to perform a live session for Mark Radcliffe’s The Folk Show’ on BBC Radio2 last week, live in Manchester.  I was accompanied by the outstanding Duncan Chisholm, Tony Byrne and Michael McGoldrick and you can hear the session here for the next three weeks (if you can access BBC iPlayer).

Next week I’ll actually be presenting that very same show, standing in for Mark, and I’m delighted that the very talented Adam Holmes will be popping into the studio and performing some tracks from his album ‘Heirs and Graces’…if you don’t know Adam or this record, check him out, he’s a class act.

Also next week, I’ll be chatting to the lively Steve Wright on his afternoon show on Wednesday, ahead of our London show in Kings Place (which I believe is just about sold out now).

So that’s about all the news (that we can announce!) at the current time.  Keep an eye out for news of another US tour in October, dates will be announced soon, and further dates in Europe in the Summer.  Also, for those of you who have been asking, *yes* we will have a special vinyl version of ‘Gach Sgeul / Every Story’ available to purchase soon.  Meanwhile, you can still buy the physical CD or download version of the album directly from us at www.juliefowlis.com/store

Thanks to you all for your continued support and interest.

With love,
Julie x
