Lemmy laid low – Satan starts to panic

Lemmy MotorheadMotorhead bassist and singer Lemmy Kilmister has reportedly suffered a hematoma that has forced the band to cancel two European concerts.

Although Motorhead didn’t give a reason when they apologised for having to cancel their scheduled June 25 performance in Milan, Italy, the promoter of the show broke the news via Facebook. They also bowed out of Saturday’s (June 22) concert at Austria’s See-Rock Festival.

According to WebMD, a hematoma is “a collection of blood outside of a blood vessel. It occurs because the wall of a blood vessel wall, artery, vein or capillary, has been damaged and blood has leaked into tissues where it does not belong.”

This is the second piece of troubling health news to emerge regarding Lemmy in the past week. Just five days ago we learned that he has been fitted with a defibrillator to help with undisclosed heart problems.
