Hello everyone,
I have BIG news, so I won’t dilly dally and get straight down to the matter at hand – we have a new album out, and I’m incredibly excited about it! It is a 20 track compilation called Close to the Hedge, and features songs by Pink Hedgehog artists and bands; together with songs by friends of our little label, to add extra yumminess to this musical summer pudding! Most of the tracks on the album are either brand new or have never been released before… so there is a wealth of poptastic treats to savour and enjoy; some by artists you already know and love, plus some that may be new to your discerning ears.
The album is available now, exclusively from Bandcamp:
http://closetothehedge.bandcamp.com/
You can preview the entire album there in full, then (hopefully) buy the whole lot for just £5 as a digital download. We have also indulged ourselves by getting a limited run of 100 lovely digipak CD versions of the album made as well – and look gorgeous! If you buy the CD version, you also get an immediate download of the album as well. You also get pdf liner notes, full of credits, artist photos and other info about all the wonderful music. Long-time supporters of our label will be excited to hear brand new songs from Peter Lacey and Garfields Birthday, a new recording of an Anton Barbeau classic featuring Robbie McIntosh on guitar, unreleased gems from Cheese, The Lucky Bishops, Hamfatter, Eye and Electrasy, plus songs by artists that you wish you had discovered a long time ago, just so you could have been enjoying their music that much longer!
Here is a full track listing of what is waiting for you:

You can also download individual tracks if you prefer, but I would recommend getting the whole album; not just because it’s much better value that way, but I guarantee there will be songs that you may not hear anywhere else, that you will fall in love with!
I would love to hear your thoughts about the compilation, especially comments on your favourite tracks or new artists that you are hearing for the first time that hit the right note for you!
Take care and have a lovely weekend, Simon.
