BRAND NEW EP AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER RIGHT NOW!
Well, we did threaten to release another Cherry recording this year, and here it is! Six brand new songs, this time all totally from the pen of Cherry’s long time collaborator, guitarist and musical director, Max Milligan. This brand spankin’ new release is titled Cherry Pickin’ and takes you back to the old time country blues sound of Mississippi John Hurt and the feel of the New Orleans jug bands.
Cherry and the band have already showcased a couple of these new belters at their recent gigs, and they have been going down a storm so it seems rude to hold them back any longer from you loyal supporters out there!
You can pre-order your copy right here right now for only £6 including P&P and you will receive an exclusive track not available anywhere else on purchase of Cherry Pickin’. You can also hear snippets of 3 of the new tracks on the audio player on the website – www.cherryleemewis.com
Says Cherry, “Max literally wrote Cherry Pickin’ over a couple of days! He had a writing spurt and I think these tracks are among the best stuff he’s ever written. He is such a wonderful songwriter, these songs deserve to be heard on a wider scale so that’s why we can hold them back no longer from you! I’ve got some songs i’ve written that are being kept under wraps for now and hopefully will be on the next album. Max and I have been working together 8 years now and we have a solid musical bond that just gels so well, and that’s why i’ve decided to bill this EP as Cherry Lee Mewis & Max Milligan, as the Cherry sound that you’ve come to enjoy at the gigs all comes from my collaboration with Max as he has produced all 3 of my albums aswell. We hope you toe-tap to your heart’s content with this EP and continue to stay with us on the Cherry train to see what happens next!”
In the meantime, come and catch Cherry and the band live and you can be one of the first to hear the new tracks. Remember, new gigs and festivals being added all the time on the website.
