Huey Lewis & The News have announced that a 30th anniversary Deluxe Edition of their classic album ‘Sports’ – famed for spawning four Top 10 hits and a host of iconic music videos. As the 30th anniversary nears, the album teeters on the edge of selling 10 million copies…
This is a two disc collection wherein the original album has been full remastered. The second disc features live performances of each of Sports’ tracks.
The special edition includes an expanded booklet with photos and memorabilia from the band’s archive and new liner notes by music journalist and author Gary Graff. In May, the band will launch the “Sports 30th Anniversary Tour” across North America, performing the album in its entirety. Says Huey, “We’ve always been very proud of the record and it’s going to be a blast to play it all live!”
